Dog biscuit recipe – Peanut Butter and Banana Treats

Here is another recipe, this time on biscuits.

Homemade Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Treats

Total Time: 1 hour/ 1 hour and 5 minutes
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 40/45 minutes

Ingredients and equipment:

  • 1 Banana – Peeled 
  • 1 Cup of Oat Flour
  • 2/3 Cup of Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup of Dried Parsley
  • 3 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter
  • 1 Egg – Beaten
  • Potato Masher
  • Spoon
  • Parchment Paper
  • Baking Tray
  • Cooling Rack

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C, Gas-mark 2)
  2. Put banana into a large bowl and use potato masher to mash thoroughly
  3. Add  oat flour, parsley, peanut butter and egg and stir well to combine
  4. Set aside for 5 minutes
  5. Roll mixture into evenly sized balls. In the picture above 24 balls were made using about 1 tablespoon dough for each
  6. Use the back of a spoon or the heel of your hand to press each of the balls into a coin
  7. Bake until firm and a deep golden brown on the bottom, 40 – 45 minutes
  8. Once finished baking set aside to cool completely

Storage note:

It’s best to store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator
